Obituary

William J. (Pat Pinky) Foley, 89, Former Professional Boxer, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at Life Care of Leominster. He is survived by a son, Michael W. Foley of Jefferson; his daughters, Sister Patricia Ann Foley of Worcester, Judith Porter of Jefferson, Penny Jackson of Worcester, Donna Dion of Oxford; stepsons, Gary Skorb of Rutland and Glenn Skorb and his wife Lynn of Orange who cared for him; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, John Foley of Oxford; and two sisters, Jackie Draskinas of Florida, and Mary Noel of Connecticut.

Pat "Pinky" Foley was a lightweight New England Champion Boxer in the 1930's and 40's. He worked many years at Crompton-Knowels and also many years at the Hotel Vernon as a bartender. He then retired as a custodian for the Worcester School Department. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street handled arrangements which were private. For on-line condolences, please click below.
