Obituary

William R. Jones, 96, died Thursday, December 21, 2006, in the Christopher House. He leaves his wife of 76 years, Isabel C. (Carr) Jones; a daughter, Sharon A. Drew of Worcester; three grandchildren, Steven R. Drew of Cherry Valley, Deborah A. Kelley of Dudley, and Kimberly L. Harney of Douglas; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and sister. He was born in Worcester, son of William A. and Laura (Brooks) Jones. He was a graduate of North High School and worked as a wire drawer for US Steel for many years. He was a member of First Congregational Church of Boylston, Boylston Lodge AF&AM, the Boylston Senior Society, and also loved vacationing in their Eastham home.

Funeral Services will be held at the First Congregational Church of Boylston, on Sat. 12/23, at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held at NORDGREN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester, on Fri. 12/22 from 4-6 p.m. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the First Congregational Church of Boylston, One Church Street, Boylston, MA 01505 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
