William “Bill” T. Grant, Jr. Died December 13, 2025 at home.
Mr. Grant was born in New York City, the only child of the late William T. Grant, Sr. And Sally (Peltola) Grant. He has lived in Worcester since 1942. After serving in the United States Air Force in the Air Weather Service from 1958-1962, he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies at Clark University.
Mr. Grant was a former planner for Edwards and Kelsey for a year as well as a transportation planner for the Leominster Re-Development Authority. The bulk of his career from 1964 to 1995, was spent at the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) as a Land Use, Transportation and mapping planner.
He leaves a cousin, Ellen Damon of E. Kingston, NH and a number of close friends, including Carl Hellstrom, Paul Pisinski, Gail Heald and Judith Pearson.
Among Mr. Grant’s interests were Boston area sports teams especially, the Boston Red Sox, the Liverpool, England Soccer Club as well as predicting the weather.
A memorial funeral service will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 12:00 Noon 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Burial will be private in Hope Cemetery, Worcester.
