Obituary

Worcester, MA - Warren R. Rickards, 92, passed away Monday, November 11, 2013, at the Jewish Healthcare Center. He leaves a son, Warren R. "Randy" Rickards and his wife Janet of Worcester; 2 grandchildren, Scott Rickards of Worcester and Bethany Dolimount and her husband Peter of Leicester; 3 great-grandchildren Michaela, Jacob, and Kathryn; and several relatives in Colorado. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 68 years, Cynthia J. (Pero) Rickards, last year.

Warren was born in Colorado, the son of the late William and Anne (Ruebel) Rickards. Following his high school graduation, he proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He worked as a salesman and manufacturer's representative in the chemical industry for many years. Warren was Past Master, Montacute Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Worcester and a member of Rose of Sharon Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Charlton. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was an avid birdwatcher.

Services will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013, with a calling hour at 10 am followed by the funeral service at 11 am in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester.
