Obituary

Vivian H. (Nelson) Gustafson, 80, widow of John P. Oberg, Jr., (d. 1979) and William N. Gustafson, Jr., (d. 2012), died Monday, October 14, 2013. She was born in Northbridge, daughter of the late Stella (Carlson) and Edwin Nelson. Besides being a wife, homemaker, and mother, Vivian worked at Fleet Electric and as an Admitting Clerk at UMass Memorial Medical Center. She leaves three sons, Paul J. Oberg of Paxton and his fiancé, Jennifer, Mark P. Oberg and his wife, Darlynn of Princeton, and Kevin J. Oberg and his wife, Karen, of North Brookfield; a brother, Edwin Nelson, of Charlton; a sister, Evelyn Ask, of CT; former daughter-in-law, Michaela Oberg; eight grandchildren, Kurtis Tracy, Vanessa Nelson, Charles Oberg, Axel Oberg, Karly Oberg, Jenna Oberg, Megan Almeida, and Arianna Saarinen; five great-grandchildren; and nephews & nieces. She was predeceased by two siblings, Arline Hnilica and Ernest Nelson.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Holden, 1212 Main Street, Holden, Saturday, October 19, at 11am. Burial in Mooreland Cemetery, Paxton, will be held at the convenience of the family.
