IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Virginia
Flagg
October 31, 2025
Virginia Flagg (Gilbert), passed away peacefully on October 31st, 2025 at the age of 95 in Worcester, Massachusetts with her loving daughter and family at her side.
Virginia lived a long and joyful life surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly. She was known for her warm heart, generous spirit and her wonderful ability to bring people together. She loved hosting gatherings; from family cookouts to birthday celebrations, always making sure every detail was perfect, complete with decorations, balloons, plenty of homemade desserts and laughter.
She enjoyed day trips exploring the beauty of New England, summer visits to the beach with family, where she treasured the simple pleasures of seashore shops, ocean breezes and time together. Virgina also enjoyed a good shopping trip, an evening of bingo with "the girls" or an occasional day at the casino.
Virgina was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Raymond F Flagg, in 2007, and her sons John Flagg and Raymond Flagg. She is survived by her loving daughter Heidi Allen and her husband Robert Allen, with whom she lived and who lovingly cared for her over the past seven years. She is also survived by her son Joseph Flagg of Worcester, and a daughter in-law Maryann Flagg of Worcester.
She leaves behind 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who helped care for Virginia in her later years, especially Ellen, Chrissy and Louise, whose kindness and support were deeply appreciated. Special thanks also go to the VNA hospice nurses, particularly Giselle, for their exceptional care.
Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street on Wednesday, November 5th, from 10 a.m.- 12:00 noon. The service will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
