Obituary

Worcester - Virginia E. (Copeland) Russell, 90, died Monday, May 5, 2014, in Knollwood Nursing Center. She leaves two sons and a daughter, Allen Russell and his wife, Marsha, of St. Peters, Missouri; Beverly J. Russell and her husband Bruce Ebbeson of Holden; and Donald Russell and his wife Alison Angel of Hull; a beloved brother-in-law, Bob Park; a niece, Nancy Donahue, two grandsons, Jeffrey and his wife Amy, and Kenneth Russell; a great-granddaughter, Brooke; as well as many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces and their families. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Kenneth Russell, and two sisters, Nellie Corn and Beverly Park.

Virginia was born in Worcester, daughter of Perley and Ruby (French) Copeland. She graduated from Commerce High School and worked as a formula clerk at Norton Co. She was a member of Greendale Peoples Church, enjoyed needlework, and was an avid Red Sox fan.

Services will be held Saturday, May 10, in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. A calling hour will be held at 9:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, MA 01606.
