Obituary

Worcester, MA - Violet M. (Larson) Peters, age 85, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in Springfield. She leaves her husband of 61 years, Frank B. Peters; a daughter, Diane M. White and her husband Kenneth H. of Tampa, FL and their daughters Rebecca M. White and Rachael A. (White) Gray; a daughter-in-law, Lyssa (Strub) Peters of Springfield, and her children Alexander D. Peters and Lara M. (Peters) Bonomi; and Bruce A. Peters and his wife Beth of Springfield, MO and their children Brock C. and Kara M. Peters. She also leaves a sister, Ruth O. Endresen of Yorba Linda, CA and a great-grandson, David R. Bonomi, Jr. Her son, Frank B. Peters, Jr., died in 2009.

Violet was born in Auburn, daughter of Helen M. (Holmes) Larson Nilsen and Oscar Sievert Larson. She was a 1942 graduate of Commerce High School. Violet retired from Astra Pharmaceutical in 1982. She was a founding member of First Assembly of God, Worcester.

Calling hours will be held at First Assembly of God, 30 Tyler Prentice Road, on Tuesday, April 13, from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at First Assembly of God, on Wednesday, April 14, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation in honor of Violet Peters may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
