Obituary

Worcester—Vaia Tsikalis, 52, formerly of Worcester, died Wednesday, August 24, 2005, in North Carolina. She was born in Greece, daughter of Simeon and Theodora Papadopoulos. She leaves her husband of 32 years, Ilias Tsikalis; 2 sons, George Tsikalis and Simon Tsikalis; 2 brothers and 4 sisters, Eleni, Athanasios, Kostas, Anna, Hrisoula, and Maria.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, 102 Russell St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday, Aug. 26, from 7-9 p.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. A Trisagion Service will be held during calling hours. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, 102 Russell St. Worcester, MA.
