Vahe "Mike" Jardarian, 73, died Sunday, April 16, 2006 in U/Mass Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife June C. (Michaelian) Jardarian, a son Bruce M. and his wife Lori of Millbury, a daughter Beth-Ann and her husband Benjamin Barsom of Paxton, a brother Zaven Jardarian and his wife Mitzi of San Francisco, a sister Florence and her husband Harry Douvadjian of Greenfield, and several nieces and nephews. Mike was born in Worcester son of Manase and Armenouhi (Pogharian) Jardarian. He was a graduate of Commerce High School and Quinsigamond Community College. He served with the Air Force during the Korean War. Mike worked in the Claims department of State Mutual/All America Insurance Company for many years.
He was a member of The Armenian Church of Our Saviour, a former member of The Parish Council. He belonged to the Men's Club of the Church and was a member of the Church choir. He also sang with the Armenian Chorale. He was a former member of The Knights of Vartan and a member of Matthew John Whittall Lodge AF&AM. He also belonged to the Armenian General Benevolent Union and the Shrewsbury Seniors and served as a driver for the Seniors. Mike loved his family, friends and the Church and loved to cook.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 21, 11:00 AM in the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Thursday 5-8 PM in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street Worcester. A Dahngark Service will be held at 7:00 PM during the calling hours. Members of the Korean War Veterans will conduct their Ritual at 6:30 PM. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Stroke Association 20 Speen Street Framingham Massachusetts 01701-4688.
