Obituary

Worcester/ Little Falls, NY: Tommie Lee (Nichols) White, 71, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2019 in Emerson Hospital in Concord after a long illness. She leaves her sister Jerry Ann Gaines of Worcester; 2 brothers- James Dear of Worcester and Percy Dear of Baton Rouge, LA; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her son Eddie (Sonny) Irving and by siblings Johnnie Lee Dear, Dorothy Anderson, Ernestine Nichols, and Mildred Michelle Gaines.

Tommie was born in Scott, Mississippi, daughter of the late Tommie Nichols and Annie Mae Tyler. She worked for many years as a Nursing Assistant in several local nursing homes. She enjoyed fishing, volunteering, and helping people in need. She started at food drive while she was living in New York. She also Loved traveling. Even though she was ill, she didn't let that stop her from going. She traveled from Massachusetts to Chicago to New York and back to Massachusetts- all while not in good health. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 10-11 a.m. in Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
