Obituary

Worcester—Timothy J. Leighton, 48, died Thursday, August 28, 2008, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Boston, son of Edith A. (Mitchell) and Robert Leighton. He leaves his wife, Deborah (Burgess) Leighton, a son, Timothy J. Leighton, a daughter, Lisa M. Leighton, brothers and sisters, Edith Noke of Stoneham, Donald Leighton of Arizona, and Mindi Carpinelli, David Barney, and Lawrence Leighton of Worcester. He also leaves 5 nieces, 2 nephews, and 2 grandnephews.



Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 2, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, with a 10 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Fatima, 43 Belmont Street. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours at Nordgren Memorial Chapel will be held Monday, Sept. 1, from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/The Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, Fl. 6, Brookline, MA 02445-9924.
