Therese R. (Dyer) Martin, 95

Worcester – Therese R. (Dyer) Martin, 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 with her daughters by her side. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Peter T Martin. She leaves her six daughters, Therese Richardson, Judith(Eugene Beley), Mary Martin , Jeanne(Robert Gohary), Darlene Parseghian, Patricia (Brian Low); six grandsons, Jeffrey(Heather Beley), Michael (Monica Richardson),Martin (Fabiola Gohary), Phillip Gohary, Ryan and Luke Parseghian; four great grandchildren, Sydney, Lincoln, Sienna, and Alexandra; several nieces and nephews including Bernard (Jimmy) Schofield with whom she had a very special relationship. She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Schofield and Margaret Slik and three brothers, William, Joseph and Thomas Dyer.

Therese was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Michael C. Dyer and Julia (Brosnihan) Dyer. She retired from New England Telephone with 25 years’ service as an Administrative Assistant and a local member of the Telecom Pioneers. She was a long-time member of Our Lady of Providence Parrish in Worcester. Therese was very proud of her family. Whenever she met someone new, they were greeted with, “I have six daughters and six grandsons”. Her greatest joy in life was watching her grandsons grow and taking immense pride in their accomplishments. They could always count on receiving a Nutcracker for a Christmas Gift. She will be greatly missed by her six daughters who cared for her deeply during her final years of life. Therese gave so much of herself to others and it was the greatest privilege and honor for her daughters to return that love. At long last, she will join her late husband Pete, whom she spent many Saturday nights gliding across the dance floor, to joyfully reunite with him for their greatest dance yet.

Calling Hours are 3-5PM on Sunday June 7 at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester MA. Funeral Mass will be held at 9AM on Monday, June 8 at Our Lady of Providence Parish, 228 Lincoln St, Worcester MA followed by entombment at St. John’s Cemetery Mausoleum, 260 Cambridge St Worcester MA.
