Obituary

Theodora (Kapsokoulou) Romniou, 74, died Monday, October 3, 2005 at Saint Vincent Hospital. She leaves her husband of 54 years, Antonios Romniou, 3 sons, Michael, George, and Nicholas and his wife, Demitra; 2 sisters, Penelope Demetrzis and Maria Spiropoulou; 2 grandsons, Antonios and George; and nieces and nephews in Greece. She was predeceased by a brother and a sister, Eleftarios and Katina Kapsokoulou. She was born in Samos, Greece, daughter of Nicholas and Eftehia (Palaiokostritou) Kapsokoulou. She lived in Athens, Greece before moving with her family to Worcester in 1970. She worked for the H.H. Brown Shoe Co. and Valkryie Leather Co. Mrs. Romniou was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 7, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., with an 11:00 a.m. service at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. with a Trisagion Service held during the calling hours.
