Obituary

Sylvia "Sis" Gibree, 78, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Worcester, daughter of F. William and G. Sylvia (LaForce) Gibree and graduated from Girl's Trade School. She worked at Parker Manufacturing Co., for many years as a lead in quality control before becoming Assistant Supervisor. She retired from UMass Memorial Medical Center, Hahnemann Campus, where she was a sterile processing assistant. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Sis is survived by three brothers, G. William, Robert E., and Raymond P. Gibree - all of Worcester; 8 nieces and nephews; and several grand- and great, grand-nieces and nephews. She also leaves several lifetime friends, including Donna M. Rawding and Craig Rawding. She was predeceased by two sisters, Pauline L. Kay and Phyllis T. Garrepy.

Funeral services will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Tuesday, March 18. A calling hour will be held from 10-11am. The funeral will immediately follow at 11am. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
