Obituary

Rev. Stevie D. Williams, 46, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 15, 2010. He leaves his devoted wife, Cassia Jenelle Holder Williams and their two sons, Daniel and Ethan Williams. He is also survived by his mother, Rosa Lee Sloan; three brothers, Stanford Williams, Johnny Sloan and Sedric Sloan; two sisters, Denise Braxton and Sylvia Sloan; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Billy Ray Patterson Martinez and sister, Sandra Sloan.

Stevie was born in Natchez, Louisiana. He attended Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in Texas, Snow College in Utah. An anointed preacher and successful businessman, Stevie lived life to its fullest and has even traveled around the world in humble Christian service.

He served as the Assistant Pastor of God's Higher Power at Work Minister of the Gospel Ministry, Worcester, MA. Stevie was a prolific writer and poet and recently published his first book, "Denominational Chaos." A true comedian at heart, he would light up any room he was in and go out of his way to make someone feel welcomed. He loved to make people happy and leaves a void that will not easily be filled. Stevie was a devoted and loving father and husband. His legacy will live on through his family.
