Obituary

Worcester: Steven P. Carlson, 55, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, November 3, 2012. He leaves his mother, Doris E. (Nelson) Carlson of Northboro and a brother Donald C. Carlson of Bay Point, FL.

Steven was born in Worcester, son of the late Stanley D. and Doris Carlson. He grew up in Holden, graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1975 and from Hamilton College in 1979 with a degree in Economics. He earned his Masters Degree in Accounting from Rutgers University in 1981. Steven worked as a Certified Public Accountant for several years in Boston, first for Coopers & Lybrand Co. and then for Sheraton Hotels. Thereafter he entered into his own private accounting practice for several more years.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 12:00 noon in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Steven's memory may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital 309 Belmont St. Worcester, MA 01604.
