Obituary

Worcester: Signe M. (Swenson) Preece, 99, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Homestead Hall. Signe was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Rudolph and Helga (Bergman) Swenson. Her husband of 49 years, Albert E. Preece, predeceased her in 1987. Signe was also pre-deceased by her brother Carl Swenson. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law.



In accordance with Signe's wishes, there are no calling hours. A private burial will take place at a later date in Hope Cemetery. Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St. is assisting the family with arrangements.



In lieu of flowers, donations in Signe's memory may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue league, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606 or the Second Chance Animal Shelter at 111 Young Rd, East Brookfield, MA 01515.
