West Boylston—Shirley L. (Miller) Murphy, 77, died Saturday, February 14, 2004, in Holy Trinity Nursing Home. Her husband, Maurice W. Murphy, died in 1998.
She leaves 4 daughters, Maureen P. Allen of PA, Kerry A. Murphy of West Boylston, Sheila A. Murphy of Worcester, and Kelly M. DeFilippo of CT, a brother, Roland Miller of Rutland, 14 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Victor and Estelle B. (LaFerriere) Miller and graduated from Commerce High School. Mrs. Murphy worked as a housekeeper at Hahnemann Hospital for over 30 years.
Funeral services will be private. Please omit flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-9376. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester is directing arrangements.
