West Brookfield/Worcester: Shirley M. (Dunn) Garceau, 89, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010 in Quaboag on the Common Nursing Home. She leaves a daughter, Carol Slavin of Worcester and many nieces & nephews - including Audrey and her husband Paul Fitch of West Brookfield - and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Garceau, and three sisters, Doris LaJeunesse, Nellie Bjorklund, and Charlotte Richardson. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Porter and Mary L. (Jackson) Dunn. Shirley worked in the cafeteria at City Hospital and was a devoted member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

A calling period will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, with a funeral service at 11:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Memorial Fund, 114 Main St. Worcester, MA 01608.
