Obituary

Fitchburg: Shirley E. (Anderson) Forbes, 85, passed away on July 17, 2023 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center Memorial Campus. She leaves a son Scott P. Forbes and his fiance' Jodi Brady of Fitchburg; a daughter Nancy Forbes of Andover; cousins Deborah Bouchard of GA, Stephen Johnson of Auburn, and George and John Bergstrom both of Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband William Forbes, Jr.

Shirley was born in Worcester, daughter of the late John and Elsie (Anderson) Anderson. She graduated from Commerce High School and owned and operated Shirley's Daycare for over 30 years. She enjoyed doing puzzles, reading books- especially mysteries, and shopping.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery.
