Obituary

Cherry Valley—Sharon A. Mars, 58, lost her short but courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, February 4, 2007, while surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband of 34 years, Michael Mars; a daughter, Kelly Mars Tikka and her husband, Michael, of Worcester; two sons, Michael Mars., Jr., and his companion, Kim Cote, of Grafton and Ryan Mars of Holliston; her grandson, Michael Tikka, Jr.; her father-in-law, Alfred Mars; her uncle, Alden Lindquist; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Doris (Lindquist) Rexford.

Sharon was born in Worcester, raised in Shrewsbury, and was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School. She loved her family, especially her grandson, and her pets. She was an avid reader and devoted fan of the New England Patriots. Sharon will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Arrangements for private services are being made by Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life and visit with her family at the home of her sister-in-law. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter, Box 136, E Brookfield, MA 01515 or the MSPCA, 350 S. Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02131.
