Obituary

Holden - Sandra J. Hall, 56, passed away August 21, 2013, at the UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. She leaves her husband of 40 years, Gary W. Hall; two sons, Richard G. Hall and his husband Ryan Shinnick of California and Kevin F. Hall of Florida and his fiancé Rebecca O'Brien of Boylston; and one brother, Steven W. Grout of Worcester. She also leaves her shepherd/husky dog, "Missy" and Himalayan cat, "Samantha." She was predeceased by her sister, Susan D. Winship.

She was born in Worcester and raised in Holden, daughter of Edith (Whitney) and Francis B. Grout, Jr. Sandra recently received her 20-year service award from Allegro where she worked as an administrator for 21 years in purchasing, inventory, and product assembly. As an avid animal lover, she was a generous supporter of the ASPCA. Sandra enjoyed playing computer games, vacations, traveling, and spending lots of time with family. Sandra's last generous act was the gift of life through organ donation as well as other donations for medical research. She has already saved two separate lives through kidney donation.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Sunday, August 25, 2013, from 1-4 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA at their website: www.aspca.org/donate
