Obituary

Worcester: Samuel Hernandez Acevedo, 69, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife Milagros Santiago; sons William Vega, Milton Lopez, and Samuel Santiago; daughters Teresa Zelayandia, Elizabeth Hernandez, Lila Ortiz, Catalina Diaz, and Milagros Diaz; 24 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 brothers- Ismael and Soriano Hernandez, Jr.; 4 sisters- Ruth Ruiz, Noemi Hernandez, Ester Maldonado, and Sara Hernandez; and many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand nephews.

Samuel was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, son of the late Soriano Hernandez Charenco and Petra Acevedo Rivera. He worked as a quality control specialist for Nypro Corp. for many years. He was a member of La Iglesia Cristo Misionera and enjoyed spending time with family.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 11:000 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester.
