Obituary

Ruth N. Reynolds, 88, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014, at the Life Care Center. She was born in Fort Fairfield, Maine, daughter of the late Marie (Dionne) and Guy O. Reynolds. She was a graduate of Aroostook Teacher's College in Maine. After moving to Massachusetts, Miss Reynolds was a fourth-grade teacher at the Dawson Elementary School in Holden, where she was later the Principal. Ruth enjoyed her job working with children. She also loved bowling. Ruth was a resident of Holden for many years before moving to Auburn. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Auburn.

She is survived by her sister, Ada Geraldine Stromberg of NY; nieces Carol Barker and her husband, Charles, and Nancy Marmat - all of New York. She also leaves several grandnieces and grandnephews - including Michael Marmat, Kristina Visser, Emily Miles, Micah Barker, and Kyle Barker - and several great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Irving Reynolds.

A funeral service will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, Saturday, Feb. 1, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Spring in Grove Cemetery, Holden. Flowers may be sent.
