Obituary

Worcester—Ruth A. (Hammond) Anderson, age 90, died Friday, February 20, 2009. She leaves a daughter, Janet L. Dooley of Worcester; 4 grandchildren: Michael Taylor, Renee Bramlett, Brett Taylor and Tracy Walsh; 3 great-grandchildren; 5 nieces; and 1 nephew.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Arthur E. and Lydia (Abbott) Hammond. She was predeceased by a brother, Arthur E. Hammond, Jr. Ruth graduated from Northborough High School and New England School of Beauty Culture. She instructed at Ollis Academy and Leo's Beauty Institute. Ruth was a rehabilitation counselor at Rutland Heights Hospital for 12 years.

Funeral services are private. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Rutland.
