West Boylston: Russell W. Anderson, Jr., 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center University Campus following a short-lived illness. He leaves behind two sons - Russell W. Anderson III and Spencer G. Anderson; his brother Robert D. Anderson and his wife Laura Anderson. He was predeceased by his sister Judith B. Anderson.

Russell was born in Worcester, son of the late Russell W. Anderson Sr. and Marguerite Berg Anderson. He graduated from Wilbraham Monson Academy, University of Massachusetts Amherst, and earned his JD Degree from Boston University. He worked as an Attorney practicing law in Worcester, MA for many years taking over the family law practice after his father retired. Russell proudly served in the U.S. Army and enjoyed gardening, fishing, woodworking, and participating in local farmers markets.

Russell spent most of his summers at his parents Victorian summer home on Block Island, RI. His niece, Pamela A. Gelsomini, was able to keep the summer home in the family for future generations. Russell was a very kind generous soul. He always took care of his family first and made time to help his friends when they were in need. He will be dearly missed by all his friends and relatives.

Services will be held on Thursday April 9, 2026, with a calling hour from 11am-12 noon followed by a memorial service at noon in the funeral home -Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St Worcester MA 01605.
