Obituary

Holden - Rune N. Falk, 87, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013, at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus. He leaves his son, Erik Falk; stepchildren, Don Maki and his wife Jan, John Maki and his wife Elsi, and Ilona Maki; a grandson, Liam Vider Falk; and step-grandchildren: Sara, Peter, Alex, and Michelle Maki.

Rune was born in Goteborg, Sweden, son of Sara Jonsson and Widar N. Falk. He emigrated to the U.S. 55 years ago and resided in Holden for the past 35 years. He retired from Astra Pharmaceutical 20 years ago where he worked as a Metrologist for 45 years. Rune was an avid jazz drummer and lover of music throughout the years. He was a world traveler and admirer of birds and gardening.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, Sunday, March 3, 2013 between 2 and 4 pm. Burial in Grove Cemetery, Holden will be at a later date.
