Obituary

Worcester—Rose (Markarian) Paloian, 84, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at the Southwood Nursing Center at Norwell from complications arising from Alzheimer's disease and congestive heart failure. Her husband George Paloian passed away in 1976, shortly after moving back from New Jersey to Worcester, her hometown. Survivors include her son, Michael Paloian and daughter Regina Arcement. Regina and her husband Larry live in Hingham with their two daughters Lauren and Danielle. Rose was cared for by Regina and her family for the last 5 years of her life. Michael and his wife Nancy live in Cold Spring Harbor, NY with their two children Adam and Andrea. A sister, Mary Garabedian, passed away in 2003.

Rose was an active member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour. She was a legal secretary and worked at the firm of Silver and Silver in Worcester for 30 years. Rose was a warm, loving mother who was very kind and generous to everyone who met her. She will be deeply missed and loved by her remaining family.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan 30, 2009 from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester with a service at 11:00 a.m. in the Armenian Church of Our Saviour. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St. Worcester MA 01609.
