Obituary

Worcester/Whitinsville: Rose Minasian, 95, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Hagop and Verkin (Simonian) Minasian. Born in Aleppo, Syria, on Feb. 8, 1920, she spent her early childhood in Worcester, MA and spent most of her life in Whitinsville, MA, graduating from Northbridge High School in 1939. In later years, she returned to Worcester, where she lived out the remainder of her life. She worked as a secretary for many years at Astra Pharmaceutical Co.

Rose is survived by her 2 brothers, Mardiros Minasian of Norwell, MA and Haig Minasian of Westboro, MA and several nieces and nephews.

Rose's services will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. A calling hour will be held at 11 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 12 Noon. Internment will be private at Hope Cemetery in Worcester.
