Obituary

Roland W. Sund, 93, formerly of Rodney Street, died Sunday, July 2, 2006,at UMass Memorial Hospital. His wife of 49 years, Victoria (Rossi) Sund died in 1998. He leaves two sons, David C. Sund and his wife Anne (Roland) of Silver Spring, Md., and Daniel L. Sund and his wife Sandra (Paradiso) of Shrewsbury; a brother, Kenneth Sund of Holland, PA; and 5 grandchildren, Kristen, Nicholas, Hayley, Adrienne, and Greg. He was predeceased by a sister, Ebba Anderson, and a brother, Vensel Sund. He was born in Worcester, son of Witalis and Augusta (Carlson) Sund. He was a 1931 graduate of Boy's Trade School. He was a decorated WWII Army veteran serving in many locations in the South Pacific. He worked for the John Bath Co. for more than 40 years. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 6, at 11:00 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held Wed., July 5, 6-8 p.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Roland W.
