Obituary

Holden - Robert W. Carlson passed away Monday, October 4, 2011, in Holy Trinity Nursing Home in Worcester. His wife, Evelyn S. (Arraje) Carlson, died in 1997. He leaves a brother and his wife, John "Jack" and Betty Carlson of Holden; two sisters, Grayce E. (Carlson) Jones, recent widow of Calvin Jones, and Betty C. (Carlson) and husband Paul W. Brown, Jr., of Westboro; Care Giver: Steven C. Jones of Holden. Several nieces and nephews and his friend, Carol Fisher.

Robert was born in Worcester son of Hilda (Anderson) and Carl E. Carlson. He worked for Norton Company and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Vasa Order of America, Nordic Lodge #611, Norton Men's Club, and Greendale Retired Men's Club. He was a long-time Navy Reservist.

A memorial service will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Tuesday, October 11, at 11:00 a.m. Interment of ashes will follow in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester MA 01609 or to Holy Trinity Nursing Home, 300 Barber Ave., Worcester MA 01606.
