Obituary

Boylston- Robert J. Tervo, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 67 years Eleanor (Farmer) Tervo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Robert was born in Worcester, son of John and Anna (Hakala) Tervo. He graduated from North High School and received his associates degree from Becker College. He then went on to work for the Norton Company in various capacities in the financial department for 38 years, retiring in 1987. Robert was an outstanding athlete in his earlier years and excelled at football and track. He was a member of First Congregational Church in Boylston, the Greendale Retired Men's Club, and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. He especially loved traveling with his wife Eleanor to Europe. Robert was a very generous man to all and will be greatly missed.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 10-11am at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St, Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 11am in the funeral home.
