Obituary

Holden—Robert J. Del Greco, Sr., 87, died Saturday, January 24, 2009. His wife, Mary E. (O'Grady) Del Greco, died in 2001. He leaves his son, Robert J. Del Greco, Jr., of Holden; daughter, Judith A. Frew and her husband, Brian, of Worcester; and several nephews & nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald P. Del Greco and sister, Celeste Del Greco.

He was born in Worcester, son of Lucy (Ramelli) and Anthony Del Greco. He was a graduate of North High. He was a WWII veteran of the Army Air Corps. He flew with the Flying Tigers 529th Fighter Squadron with tours in China, India, and Burma. He worked for Woodbury & Co. for 35 years as a commercial artist and draftsman, retiring in 1986.
