Obituary

Oxford--Robert F. "Hokey" Hokanson,Sr., 59, died Friday, February 20, 2004, in St. Vincent Hospital at the Worcester Medical Center.

He leaves his wife Martha (Fitzpatrick) Hokanson; 3 sons, Robert F. Hokanson Jr. and Scott A. Hokanson both of Worcester and Paul R. Hokanson of Oxford; 3 daughters, Patricia A. Hokanson and Tammy S. Copper both of Oxford and Michelle L. Flint of North Brookfield; a brother Donald Hokanson of Virginia and a sister Linda Kot of Brewster; and five grandchildren. A brother David died in 2000. Mr. Hokanson was born in Worcester, son of N. Chester and Helen (Smith) Hokanson.

Robert was a self-employed carpenter and the owner and operator of Hokey's Bar in Oxford. He was an avid fisherman and pilot, and enjoyed candlepin bowling and playing softball in the USSSA for 40 years.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. No funeral services are planned. Please omit flowers.
