Obituary

Worcester—Rita D. (Tetreault) Chauncey, 83, resident of the Christopher House, died April 2, 2008. Her husband, Frederick, died in 1993. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Mabel (Thinel) and Joseph Tetreault. She loved yard sales and was a very caring, loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She leaves 4 sons, Frederick D., Ernest A., David T., and Wayne T. Chauncey of Worcester and 4 daughters, Linda M. Verdini, Carol A. Langevin, and Ruth T. "DeDe" Betz of Worcester and Gail M. Melvin of Leicester; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph T. Chauncey (d. 1989), 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.

The funeral will be held Sat., April 5, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., with a 10 a.m. mass at St. Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
