Richard J. Urban, Jr., 53

WORCESTER – Richard J. Urban, Jr., 53, of 434 Park Avenue, died Tuesday, December 31, at home.

He leaves a brother, Jack D. Urban, of Putnam, Connecticut; a sister, Nancy Urban of Worcester; a niece and a great-niece of Putnam, Connecticut. He was born in Worcester, son of Richard J. Urban, Sr., and Doris E. (Carlson) Urban, and graduated from Commerce High School.

Mr. Urban was a self-employed geologist. He enjoyed computers, rocks, andminerals and was the past president of the Worcester Mineral's Club.

There are no calling hours. Burial will be at a later date. Donations may be made to the donor's choice. Nordgren Memorial Chapel (NordgrenMemorialChapel.com), 300 Lincoln Street, is directing arrangements.
