Obituary

Worcester: Richard "Chum" Tashjian, 95, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025 in the Odd Fellows Home. He leaves many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters-Doris Tashjian, Nancy Barton, and Rose Tashjian, and brothers- Menes, Archie, Zakar, and George Tashjian.

Richard was born in Worcester, son of the late Hagop and Norkan (Shabouian) Tashjian. He graduated from Commerce High School and proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a painter and enjoyed golfing at Green Hill Park and swimming at the Greendale YMCA. He was also an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.

Burial with military honors in The MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon will be held at a later date. Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements. To leave an online condolence message, please click guestbook link.
