Obituary

Marlborough- Richard W. Smedberg, 63, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. He leaves two sisters- Janice Tamke of Worcester and Carolyn Renfro of New York, and several nieces and nephews.

Richard was born in Worcester, son of the late Bengt and Doris (Nelson) Smedberg. He graduated from Burncoat High School, where he played baseball and was in the school band. Following graduation, he worked as a mechanic at several auto repair shops in the area. He enjoyed fixing old cars, fishing, and listening to music.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in All Faiths Cemetery 9 Island Rd. in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. To leave an online condolence message, please click link.
