Obituary

Worcester--Richard R. Helenius, 76, of 26 Carpenter Avenue, died Saturday, March 6, 2004, in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves several nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Helenius was predeceased by 2 brothers, Walter and William Helenius both of Worcester, and a sister Betty Dufva of Westfield.He was born in Worcester, son of Svante and Jennie (Westi) Helenius and resided in Worcester all his life.

He was a graduate of Commerce High School.Mr. Helenius was an engineer with Jamesbury Corporation for 30 years retiring in 1992.He was a member of the Worcester County Pistol League, was an accomplished artist and musician. He was an avid golf fan.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 10, at 11:00 am in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours.
