Obituary

Holden—Raymond A. Swenson, 83, died Tuesday, January 10, 2006, at the Jewish Healthcare Center. He leaves his wife of 35 years, Betty (Rainsford) Swenson, and several cousins. He was born in Holden, son of Mabel Swenson and graduated from the former Holden High School. He was a WWII Army veteran, serving in North Africa and Italy. He retired after many years from Bancroft Motors. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, in the Nave of Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Grove Cemetery, Holden. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to the Memorial Fund at Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester, MA 01609. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester, is directing arrangements.
