Obituary

Worcester—R. Frances (Braley) Hewitt, 88, died Monday, September 13, 2004, in Holy Trinity Nursing Home. Her husband, Leroy H. Hewitt, Sr., died in 1995. She leaves a son, Leroy H. Hewitt, Jr., of PA, and a daughter, Sandra L. Hartman of Worcester; a sister, Dorothy Dube of Worcester; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and several nephews & nieces. She was predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She was born in Lynn, MA, daughter of Herbert W. and Esther Pearl (Young) Braley. She was a clerk at the Thom McCann Shoe Co. for many years. She attended Pleasant Street Baptist and Belmont Street Baptist churches.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, Sept. 17, at 11 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16 at Nordgren Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Belmont Street Baptist Church, Memorial Fund, 25 Belmont St., Worcester, MA 01605.
