Obituary

Worcester—Pauline R. (Young) Garfield, died Sunday, April 18, 2004, in Saint Vincent Hospital. She leaves a son, Stephen M. Garfield of Worcester, a daughter, Pamela G. Hoskins of Derry, NH. She also leaves her ex-husband, Donald I. Garfield, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Her sister, Shirley Hines predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of David R. and Ruth (Johnson) Young. She graduated from Commerce High School and attended the Hahnemann School of Nursing. Mrs. Garfield was a nurse's aid at the former Charstelle Nursing Home, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Park Congregational Church and several women's clubs.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 22, at 11 a.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
