Paula J. (Bregou) Mitchell, 61

West Boylston- Paula J. (Bregou) Mitchell, 61, of West Boylston, formerly of Worcester, died Saturday, August 1, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Paula leaves her husband, Nicholas G. Mitchell, Sr., of West Boylston. She is survived by her mother, Lillian (Kyrka) Bregou; a sister, Barbara Boucher and a brother, William Bregou; many extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Fotis Bregou, in 1970. She was a caring guardian for her husband's grandson, Christopher Mitchell, of West Boylston. Paula was a barber for over 40 years and enjoyed cooking and helping others.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2009 in St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna St. Worcester. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. with a Trisagion Service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2009 AT THE CATHEDRAL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. George Orthodox Cathedral, Memorial Fund, 30 Anna St., Worcester 01604. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester 01605 is directing arrangements.
