Obituary

Patricia J. (Sargent) Petersen, 85, widow of Rev. Charles O. Petersen, Sr., passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at Radius Healthcare. She leaves her son, Charles O. Petersen, Jr., and his wife Judy; and 2 grandsons, Jarrod and Jacob Petersen. She was predeceased by her daughter Deborah Petersen and her sister Martha Campbell.

Patricia Jean was born in New Kensington, PA, daughter of Beulah B. (Gensamer) and John Sargent. She was a graduate of Nyack College in New York and married Rev. Charles O. Petersen on Dec. 25, 1950. Together they raised their two children and dedicated their lives to the ministry of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. She was a member of Christ the Rock Fellowship (formerly First Alliance Church) in Worcester.

Services will be held at Christ the Rock Fellowship, 1411 Main Street Worcester on Wed., Feb. 15. A calling hour will be held at 10:00 am followed by the Funeral at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ the Rock Fellowship 1411 Main St Worcester MA 01603. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street Worcester is directing arrangements.
