Obituary

Worcester: Patricia P. (Herdeck) Caricchio, 67, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center University Campus after a short illness. She leaves 2 sons James Herdeck of Worcester and Joshua Caricchio of Lancaster; a daughter Phyllis Caricchio of Worcester; 5 grandchidren- Joshua, Mackenzie, Haley, Kerri and Tiana; 2 great-grandchildren- Josiah and Ava; 2 sisters- Leah Griffith and Joyce Carlton; and an aunt Grace Little; her former husband of 16 years Vincent Caricchio; nephews, nieces and her beloved dog Moxie. She was predeceased by a brother Michael Lynn and mother Phyllis J. (Niddre) Lynn.

Patty was born in Hartford, CT, daughter of Frank Silvia Herdeck and Phyllis (Niddrie) Herdeck. Patty lived in Worcester most of her life and attended Doherty High. She worked for many years as a quality control technician at Pure Encapsulations and Astra Zeneca. Pat also worked as a Teachers Assistant for South High School.

Patty enjoyed travelling, antiquing, reading, cooking 'old school' dishes, music and films. Spending time with her children was most important to her, as they were her pride and joy.

Her family would like to thank UMASS Medical Campus for their compassion, care and kindness during these difficult times.
