Obituary

Nancy M. Henrikson, 63, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011. Born in Worcester, she was a daughter of the late Gustaf H. and Blanche V. (Guertin) Henrikson. She is survived by her sister, Jane Yakuma; a niece, Nicole; and two nephews, Matt and Kaipo.

Nancy was a L.I.C.S.W., and held a B.S., Psychology and Urban Studies, from Worcester State College, 1993, Summa Cum Laude, and a M.S.W., Clinical Social Work, from Boston College Graduate School of Social Work, 1995. At the time of her death, she was both an Adjunct Professor of Urban Studies at Worcester State College University and Clinical Supervisor of Outpatient & Rehab Services at UMass Memorial, Community Healthlink.

Nancy was a Reiki Master and a practicing Buddhist. She lived her life through spiritual principals and was a blessing to those who knew her. A tree will be planted at Tower Hill Botanical Garden in Boylston in her memory.
