Obituary

NORTHBRIDGE— Monica J. (Adams) Akerson, formerly of Kalmar St., Worcester, died on Friday, December 23, 2005 in The Beaumont Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Her husband, Carlton E. Akerson, died in 1981. She leaves 2 nieces, Priscilla A. Siam of OH and Susan E. Orczyk of Whitinsville and several grandnieces. Two sisters, Anna Jasper and Mary Johnson, predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Julia (Zamis) Adams and graduated from Commerce High School in 1930. She worked at The Vellumoid Company for more than 15 years.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29th from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., with a funeral Mass at 12:00 PM in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to The NEADS Foundation, PO Box 213, West Boylston, MA 01583 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
