Obituary

Mildred E. Johnson, 91, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at Knollwood Nursing Center in West Boylston. She leaves two cousins-Esther Werme and C. Philip Anderson.

Mildred was born in Worcester, daughter of A. Pontus Johnson and Hulda (Larson) Johnson. She graduated from Commerce High School and the Worcester Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse and night supervisor for many years at Hahnemann Hospital. Mildred also worked as an industrial nurse for Norton Company for 25 years and retired in 1980. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

A graveside service and burial will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in All Faiths Cemetery, 7 Island Rd. Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 41 Whitmarsh Ave. Worcester, MA 01606.
