Obituary

Clinton- Mildred E. (Swain) Froemel, 97, of Corcoran House, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Knollwood Nursing Center in West Boylston. Her husband, Henry F. Froemel, died in 1980. She was born in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Bertha E. (Bellows) and Forrest J. Swain and was a 1937 graduate of Cranston High School. Millie was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church, its Mary Circle and Carty Cupboard food pantry.

She leaves her daughter, Myrna L. Trudeau; two grandchildren, Lori Earnshaw and David Trudeau; two great-granddaughters, Emily and Susan Earnshaw; and four nieces, Laura Roffee, Sandra DiMaio, Linda Pickett, and Elizabeth Garvie. She was preceded in death by her niece, Jacqueline Dickman.

Services will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Tuesday, May 24. A calling hour will be held from 9:45-10:45 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at the family's convenience in Maplewood Cemetery, Norwich, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 114 Main Street, Worcester MA 01608.
